The agreement aims to deliver mutual cooperation in the application of blockchain solutions in the healthcare sector.

The team at the Ammeris Blockchain Foundation
(Ammeris) are pleased to announce Virtual Rehab
(VR) as one of their strategic partners having signed a Memorandum of
Understanding with the purposes of sharing research and cooperating in
the application of blockchain solutions in the healthcare sector.
The new strategic agreement allows Ammeris to further develop its work with both current and future managers and leaders within the healthcare sector, their organisations and supporting them to develop and implement blockchain solutions.
Paul Mears, Chair of Ammeris said: "We are incredibly proud to be one of the organisations to become a VR strategic partner. Personally, I have worked closely with Raji and his team over the last three months as a member of his Advisory Board along with Ethan Gilmore from the Ammeris team and Binod Nirvan who has recently joined us. The core verticals for Ammeris are health, entertainment, and government, insurance, with emphasis on data management. The work that VR is doing is a perfect match for Ammeris. Ethan and I both have a history of investing and working with health and virtual reality projects, so it is a project that we were instantly attracted to. Once we had spent time with Raji, it was clear to us that VR is a project that has already got traction, a professional team, and is making a real difference to people's lives with a real use case of tokens and blockchain. This is the next step for us as an organisation to support the growth of blockchain use in the health sector."
On his part, Dr. Raji Wahidy, Founder & CEO of Virtual Rehab, said: "We are extremely excited about our partnership with Ammeris. At Virtual Rehab, we develop solutions to further enhance the mental health and the psychological well-being of the most vulnerable populations out there. We have long been advocates of leveraging technological innovation to drive positive change within our society. This is in-line with Ammeris' mission, which makes our partnership even more exciting. We are equally honoured to have Paul, Ethan, and Binod as part of our Advisory Board. Their experience, knowledge, expertise, and network are a great asset to any organisation. They have been closely working with myself and the Virtual Rehab team as we continue to move along the next phase of our development; integration of blockchain technology as part of our service offering. We are looking forward to a great partnership with Ammeris."
Ammeris and VR both have a strong Canadian core with staff and offices on the ground. Ammeris is now headquartered in Cayman Islands and VR is soon to be headquartered in Estonia. Both companies have been grateful recipients of the support of various governmental divisions in Canada and are looking to become flagship projects for Canada in the innovation space.
Ammeris have launched the private round of their initial coin offering recently and VR will be launching their private round during the month of October.
