The agreement positions BlockLab as one of the first accredited data centers to host the Ammeris Platform.

BlockLAB, a Labrador-based blockchain technology company in Camada, announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Halifax-based Ammeris Inc. (Ammeris' development division) paving the way for BlockLab to become their first accredited data centre hosting the Ammeris Platform
for decentralized applications (dApps).
“We are proud to be partner with Ammeris to become their first accredited data centre. This reinforces the long-term opportunity for innovation and growth that Blockchain-focused data centres offer Labrador,” said Mike Darrigan, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of BlockLAB. “It’s even better that we can do so by working with another growing Atlantic Canadian Blockchain company.”
The Ammeris Platform is a publicly accessible blockchain network designed to host frictionless interconnectivity between people, information databases, governments, global trade organizations,
capital markets, and machines. The platform is composed of the Ammeris Blockchain (the main ledger) and the Ammeris Blockchain Stack (ABS), entirely operated by 100% renewables-powered and permissioned nodes that allow for the creation of segregated and/or application-specific ledgers.
“In launching a project like the Ammeris Blockchain, from day one it was crucial to build out trusted
partner networks in renewable energy, data centre and infrastructure management. The first moments in meeting and planning with Mike and the BlockLAB team, really provided the assurance that we were dealing with the type of professional and expert partners that we aim to integrate within our organization as it grows,” said Matthew Pickup, Co-Founder and Director of Development for Ammeris. “Aside from sharing our core values of sustainability, security and transparency, BlockLAB also brings to their work the same kind of innovative and ambitious mindset that we really value within all of our operations.”
BlockLAB recently announced an expansion of its Wabush facilities following approval of electricity
from the Public Utilities Board of Newfoundland and Labrador.
